A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to invalid addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without effort in case you have a shared hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet unbelievably intuitive, and it will permit you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than several mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have set up will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each of them you’ll see a mini "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will enable this option, clicking it again will disable it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you already have a different one with this feature activated or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be enabled easily if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll notice a small-size logo handily situated directly next to each one. With only a single mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable the feature through the contextual menu that will appear. In case any of the prerequisites for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will let you know, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
